When I told my friend Katie I was watching this movie, she called it the “CIA movie”. I think it is an incredibly interesting and poignant way to describe the movie, as by describing it as a “CIA movie” Katie is putting into words the very first thought that popped into my head when I noticed the abysmal opsec practices that the protagonists of the movie. But other than the fact that this movie is a poor example of how to execute an action, I really enjoyed It. Constantly putting me on the edge of my seat with a perpetual sword of Damocles that constantly hangs over the heads of the protagonists. There was not a single moment the entire time I was watching this movie where I was not wondering when everything was going to go wrong. Truly a masterpiece of pacing, with sound design, directing, editing, writing, and acting that all coming together in the end to deliver on one of the most enjoyably uncomfortable movies I have ever watched.
